Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This website reads the Bible and offers study guides. It is run by an independent individual. It is not affiliated with a church, denomination or company. This page explains what the site stores, what it does not collect, and how to ask about your information.
The short version
- No accounts. Email sign-up is optional and only used to send posts you ask for.
- Reading progress, your chosen Bible version and reading-plan ticks are stored only in your own browser.
- The site does not send your reading data to any server.
- The site currently runs no analytics and shows no advertising.
What is stored on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember a few things for your convenience:
- Last chapter read, so the reader and the home page can offer to continue.
- Chosen Bible version, so the reader and the home page open on the same translation.
- Reading-plan progress, the days you have ticked off.
This information stays on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings. The site works without it; you will simply lose the saved position and ticks.
What the hosting provider may record
Like every website, the server that delivers these pages may keep standard access records, such as the time of a visit, the page requested, and an IP address, for security and to keep the service running. The site owner does not read or use those records to identify visitors.
Third parties
All fonts and Bible text are served from this website. No font or script is loaded from another company's server, except one case: if you press "Translate this page", Google's page translator loads and sends the page text to Google to translate it. Nothing is sent before you press the button. Links to the Google Play app store are only followed if you choose them, and then Google's own privacy policy applies.
Advertising (not yet switched on)
The site is planning to show advertising to help keep it free. When it does, this policy will be updated first. There is no pop-up or banner for this. Only non-personalised ads will be shown, so the provider does not build an advertising profile on you. The advertising provider may still use cookies and similar technology to show ads. Until the update, no advertising is shown and no advertising technology is loaded.
Email sign-up (not yet switched on)
Some pages will have a form to receive new posts by email. When it is switched on, it will ask only for your email address and a tick to agree to receive the emails. The page you signed up from is recorded with it, so we know where sign-ups come from. Your email is stored in the email service the site owner chooses, which will be named here before the form goes live. It is used only to send the posts you asked for. You can ask to be removed at any time, and the site owner will delete the address on request. Until the form is switched on, no email address is collected.
Children
The site has no accounts. The only personal detail it can take is the email address on the optional sign-up form, and the site does not ask for ages. Please ask a parent or guardian before a child signs up.
Your choices
- Clear the site data in your browser to delete everything the site has stored on your device.
- Use the site without saving progress; it still works.
Who writes the articles
The guides and daily posts are drafted with the help of five AI writing personas: Ruth, Daniel, Miriam, Samuel and Grace. Each one covers a different topic. A person reviews every article before it is published. The personas are not real people, and no article is written by a named individual. The Bible text itself is always the public-domain King James Version, quoted from the site’s own data.
